During History there were lots of changes, things and accident that change the moment and future of the earth, and here is one of them .
Let’s learn from history of economy and how we make change to the earth.
Agricultural Jobs represented about 90% of the workforce back in the early 1800’s.Today Agricultural Jobs represent less than 2% of the workforce.
- In 1930, one farmer’s work could feed 9.8 people for an entire ye
- Agriculture
- Sharp decline on the workforce as the Agrarian Age is displaced by the Industrial Age.
- Agricultural Employment fell steadily as new jobs were created by Industrial Age opportunities.
- Industry
- Metallurgy, transportation, mechanical tools and other developments of the era made jobs more efficient.
- More could be done with less human labor.
- Services
- Entertainment, hospitality and tourism, education, government, retail services to name a few brought new opportunities.
- Value is now delivered on services instead of end-products.
- Most employment shifted to these sectors on developed economies.
- Whats next?
- Digital Age is here!
- Also known as the fourth industrial revolution or the Information Age.
- The Digital Age is based on information, knowledge and skill.
- Includes
services such as information technologies, information generation,
media and knowledge-based services like consulting, education, financial
services, and designing to name a few.
As
exponential technologies are now overlapping with each other, it’s now
very difficult to predict the future. Learning from history and studying
technological trends we can effectively identify the threats and
opportunities ahead.
I passionately believe education is the ONLY way to identify these threats and opportunities. I help businesses and students thrive through these “invisible” changes.
To answer your question:
Based on the clear trends I’ve been investigating for years I see both,
amazing benefits for millions and also a disturbing world of
inequality.
Positive changes:
- Massive abundance of cheap products and services.
- Healthcare will get better — people living longer.
- Cheap Energy and communication services available for everyone.
- Most will live with better products and services making life easier for billions who today stand in extreme poverty.
Challenges:
- Those who are uninformed or simply decide to ignore these changes will suffer the most.
- I see extreme inequality — we haven't seen anything yet.
- Massive outdated college-educated workforce — today, people are mostly being trained for Industrial Age jobs.
- Massive abundance of things and services — changing the economics of the world… again!
- Massive debt as margins become tighter — families and businesses need to “fill the gap.”
- Automation will take over millions of blue-collar and white-collar jobs — Massive unemployment.
- Universal Basic Income — required for billions of the unemployed.
- Our human values will be dramatically challenged.
-
- And Today we have a big niche of economy and lots of industries and products that changed our life and make a big change in our life styles.
